For the last 6 months, Utilities Regulation Advisory has been working closely with IPART (Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal) on the development of its new approach to water pricing, known as the 3Cs (a focus on customers, costs and credibility). The new draft framework builds on the extensive engagement process undertaken to date, and will completely change the role of customers in the NSW water price setting process.
Massive congratulations to the IPART team and Tribunal members on a ground breaking new framework, and one that will no doubt drive better outcomes for customers and the NSW community, into the longer term.
