We would like to welcome Richard Smith to the team at Utilities Regulation Advisory.
Richard has 20 years of experience as a strategy and regulation practitioner and executive working for network utilities in Australia and the United States. He has a wealth of experience with water sector policy and regulation and has used this to develop outcomes-focused strategies and submissions that benefit customers, stakeholders and water businesses alike.
Prior to URA, Richard was the General Manager of Strategy and Partnerships at Greater Western Water and was responsible for that corporation’s strategy, economic regulation, water resources, asset planning, communications and engagement functions. Richard is an inter-disciplinary thinker and holds Bachelors of Engineering (Chemical, Hons 1st class), Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) and Masters in Economics.
