Three days away with the team at Eden Yarra Valley provided a valuable opportunity to step back from the day-to-day, reflect on what we’ve achieved over the last 12 months, celebrate some significant milestones, and focus on the opportunities ahead.
What stood out most was the quality of the conversations. We spent time discussing where we are heading as a business, the value each of us brings to our clients and projects, and how we continue to evolve and improve as a team. It also allowed us to check in on each other, look to establish processes that makes ours and our client’s live easier and continue to build strong personal and professional relationships.
Rather than focusing on productivity, motivation or simply working harder, he introduced a practical framework for sustainable human performance centred on understanding where we gain energy, where we lose it, and how small, repeatable behaviours can compound over time. Whether in elite sport, business or advisory work, the best performers create systems that allow them to consistently make good decisions, manage competing demands and maintain their effectiveness under pressure. It was a powerful reminder that long-term success is rarely driven by intensity alone, but by the disciplines and habits that support performance over the long term, through careful attention to exercise, nutrition, relationships, gratitude, breathing and being present.
A big thank you to Olly for sharing his experience from elite sport, corporate leadership and high-performance teams. The session provided practical insights that I suspect many of us will continue to reflect on and apply long after the retreat.

On the final day, we were fortunate to be joined by Olly Bridge from Build a Bridge – Live Your Best Life Pty Ltd, who challenged us to think differently about performance, leadership and sustainability.
